So Long JR

Texas looses another famous person.  Larry Hagman died at the age of 81 at a local Dallas hospital.  The long time actor who made the TV sitcom's  "I dream of Jeanie" and "Dallas" hits had come back to Texas to revive the "Dallas" program around his children and Bobby's.  Now, they will have to write him out of the program or cancel it altogether. Born in Weatherford, TX we can claim him as one of our own.  Condolences to family, friends and his many co-worker's.

Thanksgiving Food

Here's a picture of our family dinner, back when we were doing it and the most important thing of the day.......the food......but today, we are smaller as far as family goes, and now we just make do however the chips fall.  It's too bad because everyone had a good time back then.......

Weather

Some rain is on the way today, tomorrow and possibly the next.  It's predicted that Sunday will be the best day for the rain.  As I write this post it is partly cloudy, the wind is gusting real high and leaves are falling each time the wind.blasts them.  I need to get out of the house and do some shopping, but am debating whether it's that important or not?  At least the sun is in and out of the clouds, giving us a nice warm day.  Real unseasonal, but Texas weather is always unseasonal.

Pecans

A Texas native which most people utilize into holiday recipes, is said to produce a "bumper crop" this year.  I hear that it's been rough in previous years because of the drought, but this year's rains have helped the pecan crops to increase.  It's possible that we may be able to find these nuts at a decent price compared to recent years.
