More Cement Trucks
Well, this is the 3rd time that cement trucks have come down our street, in the last two weeks.
It's being delivered down the street, and I haven't gotten out in the cold weather today, so I don't know what it's going to ......?

It seems every year that our City can't afford a fresh real Christmas Tree? I haven't asked they yet, but my nosey ass, will get around to sending City Hall that question......... :)

Lime?
Last week they poured lime into the soil, then they drove back and forth with heavy equipment, packing it into the ground..........shook the whole house, every time they went by.

In The Yard
They have made it to the yard, and are finishing up on the job they started yesterday, next door.
It's lunch time, right now but the fun begins, this afternoon.
Almost Here
Well, they've made it to the house next door, and it looks like we will get ours done soon.
I'm not ready for when they attack our water lines, their so old and brittle.

The Calaboose Jail in Royse City is surrounded by blooming trees all around it but it's not out of the woods yet. We are still raising money to repair and restore the Calaboose Jail before it crumbles and we loose this piece of history forever!
Purchase and personalize your brick today and your brick will be placed around the Calaboose Jail once it's fully restored!

Feed Store/Silos

The railroad tracks, that have run through this town for years and the building on the left was once a lumber yard. Then there's the Feed store across from it, with the grain silos for storage, until the train cars get loaded and transported to other towns.
I borrowed this photo from Jack Palmer Photos.

Back Then

Soldiers parade down Elizabeth Street in Brownsville, circa 1916. This was something people would stop and watch. Many looked to see if they knew any of the soldier's that was marching.
Dallas, TX 1947

I was born in 1944 in Dallas, TX, so I wouldn't have been old enough to remember any of this......

More Street Photos
This is one is up the street from my house, and the lot is vacant. So, I wonder what they are doing there?
Here they have brought in a big sewer suction truck, and you can see all the other equipment, just on this one house and yard. Wow, what will it be like at my house, when they start this side of the street?
