1st Day

The first day of the State Fair of Texas went well, the weather was just right and everyone had a good time.  That was yesterday and today has presented another realm of Fair going.  I woke up this morning to thunder and heard the wind pick up.  It's been raining ever since and I can just imagine, what the people working at the Fair are going through.  Not only will this cut down on the customers, but it will be miserable working in the outdoor stands that sell food, beverages or offer games to play.  Most of the visitors who go to the Fair today will run quickly to one of the buildings to browse the different displays.  The clean up crews will be working over time, keeping the water from the door areas, so people won't slip and fall.  The rides won't be running because of the danger involved.  I'm sure there will be many who choose not to go to the Fair at all because of the weather.  One of them is me and I will make plans for a later date.
